concrete, edges and geometry give built form to the religious promise of heaven. the architecture compels the gaze upwards and makes this movement itself a means of expression. looking into the sky becomes a religious posture in which the attempt to make the scale of the divine spatially perceptible is expressed. my photographic work adopts precisely this central gaze and orders it through an exact rendering of the architecture at a 90-degree angle. the construction itself becomes a frame for the sky. the heavy, precise order of brutalism meets a space that remains boundless and resists every constructed form.
